Here is where Steven may be found "cooking up" something game related...or just playing games...he likes to play them too! He is both chef and critic - creator and player - purist and corporate sellout - Okay...forget that last one....but you get the picture, don't you?
Here you will find digital creations that Steven has worked on/is working on...his "Digital Dishes," as it were. Time and resources being precious, there is only so much here for now. Who knows what recipes the future may bring though?
Like what you see?
Want to keep it?
Well, then you have come to the right place! Here is where you can download it!
(For now anyway, even I probably wont host these forever...)
A Minecraft recreation of the NES classic game Crystalis.
Disclaimers: Relict Games is not officially affiliated with, nor owns, nor is owned by Minecraft/Microsoft/Mojang/SNK/Nintendo/Crystalis. This is a recreation of the old Nintendo game content within Minecraft. It is not being sold/resold. The video is a personal recreation with license free content.
ABOUT:
This is the entire rebuilt map from start to finish. The scale of the map is essentially 2:1, however...exceptions had to be made such as the outside size of a building and functional inside space, or lengthening a cave to actually reach the destination without the destination overlapping with part of the world already in existence.) Also...there were things I had to move or rotate 90/180 degrees when they would spatially run into each other in an actual 3D environment...something they did not have to worry about the way the original game was programmed.
The 1.12.2 Java version is somewhat playable through the first boss and explorable beyond that with miscellaneous code throughout. (Playing it in 1.13.x or beyond will break the code and the early playable portion will not work right.) The windows 10 is not playable.
A Minecraft recreation of the world from the NES classic game The Legend of Zelda.
Disclaimers: Relict Games is not officially affiliated with, nor owns, nor is owned by Minecraft/Microsoft/Mojang/Nintendo/The Legend of Zelda. We do not own the rights to/the property that is The Legend of Zelda, nor is this content for sale.
ABOUT:
We have run across enough more engaged and more skilled (with the new tools) people who have made remakes (I have seen a new Links Awakening level recreation of the original NES game, as well a gorgeous Ocarina of Time remake using Unreal) so this project is being officially put to pasture. We will leave the downloads up in case anyone wants to play around with what I made, but nothing new will be done on this one. Still a fan, but just too far behind the creative curve for this particular project.
A Minecraft recreation of (one possible permutation of) the House on the Hill from the board game:
Betrayal at the House on the Hill.
Disclaimers: Relict Games is not officially affiliated with, nor owns, nor is owned by Avalon Hill. This is a concept creation within Minecraft, which we also do not own the rights to nor the intellectual property of.
It is not being sold.
ABOUT:
"The house" was randomly generated by drawing tiles from the board game (Original version, no expansion), and then cards to correspond with them....so some rooms will have items and things like that in place...others which should have events do not yet work, as I was not skilled at programming those effects into it when it was built. It is not a "playable" version of the game, and there are no plans to pursue this further unfortunately. It's just an explorable iteration of the house on the hill and first iteration of the concept creation.
Welcome to the stuff that goes on inside my brain...
